A Busy Month!

We have had a crazy few weeks at our house!  We've just been super busy with family in town, traveling, fun things with friends...busy busy!  And, of course, I always have to have some sort of project because that's just how I am...so I've been painting all the dark, ugly, 1970's cabinetry and woodwork in our house. :)  I know, I know, we're renting so it seems crazy, but I can't help myself!  So, here are some before and afters.  I am so thankful that my Mom was here to help me with a lot of this, talk about a lot of painting!

This is the wet bar in our den before...

and after...a vast improvement!

Please excuse the toys, but that's just reality right?  I don't have a before picture of the mantel, but just picture that same ugly dark wood.  Love the way it looks now.

And lots of after shots...still haven't put the pulls back on all the drawers, but you get the idea.

So, anyway...that's what we've been up to lately...I'll leave you with a few cute pictures of Mr. O....trying to enjoy this gorgeous weather till it gets unbearably hot and humid!

Hope you all have a very blessed week. :)

A fun, busy weekend!

We had a fun, busy weekend enjoying the beautiful, sunny weather!  On Saturday we had a bunch of friends over and Owen and Kate got to finger paint in the backyard!  As you can see, Owen thought he would taste the paint.  Fortunately it was homemade, non-toxic paint.

We had so much fun, and our friends even brought their almost two week old baby, Maddox, it was so fun to see and hold such a sweet, tiny baby!!!

On Sunday afternoon we took Owen to the park by our house and he had so much fun running and playing.  He wore himself out and fell asleep very quickly for bed that night. :)

We are really looking forward to Easter this weekend.  My family will be here tomorrow and we have many fun things planned for Mr. O.  We are most excited to share with him the real meaning of Easter, celebrating our Risen Lord!  I hope you all have a very blessed Easter with your families.
